Drinks creamy, sweet, w/ a bit of warmth onthe tongue. Complex flavors of flowers, fruits & malt fill this beer...the aftertaste is lush w/ ripe fruit & a certain earthy floral character as well as a gentle hop bitterness...bitterness seems to come from a different source as well. Tabgerine...orange blossoms, peaches, sweet apples....the fruit really starts bursting out as it warms. Sweetness & bitterness achieve a nice balance in this full-bodied brew. A wonderful specialty! Big & fruity, yet not too huge or entering the barleywine zone...still easily quaffed...this is by far the most complex & original beer I’ve had from Empyrean...I was a bit leary of it, when the rumor of ’15 ingredients’ was passed around...but this is done well, not just a muck of junk thrown into a boiling kettle...and thank god it isn’t 15 different hops! Happy Anniversary guys...save me a couple bottles will ya?
