Jun 25, 2006 Poured a clear dark copper color with a small creamy off-white head. Tons of tangerines with some alcohol fumes. Makes me think something happened. i wouldn’t now how to brew it to smell like that. Malty flavor with earthy hops and a moderately bitter finish. Short finish.

Jun 24, 2006 Pours a very effervescent copper with a lightly-lacing, foamy off-white head. Tart floral lemon fruity aroma has some grainy maltiness. Body starts with some floral earthy notes and a mild dry tartness with some English hoppiness. Somewhat true to style, but unbalanced and somewhat off.

May 19, 2006 Stinky, off aroma with some bubblegum. Decent red amber in color with no head. Hops and malts clash in disconcordance. Some soap, some apples, some citric bitterness, but quite clashing. Poor.

May 19, 2006 Bottle. Pours a clear, darker amber with hardly any head and not much carbonation. Nose is bearly discernable. Flavors are roasted coffee and that dwindles to almost nothing except for some slight bitterness. A thin. watery brew without much support from hops, malts or much else. May 15, 2006 A little thin in flavor and body. A little more hops than some of the other Empyrean brews. Refreshing but not really appealing. I want something with a little more assertiveness.

Pours a decent amber with a nice head that dissipates too quickly but leaves adequate lacing. Aroma is nice and bitter with just a hint of sweetness. Flavor is hoppy and slightly peachy, with a bitter finish that doesn’t leave the drinker puckering his lips. Palate is thicker than the appearance of the beer indicates. This is a nice, light ESB that I would definitely drink again.

Mar 10, 2006 12oz bottle from Eboats. Pours a light, clear copper color with almost no head. the little head apparent disapears quickly to leave nothing. Nose is light nuts, a bit of light molasses and sweet malt, sugars. Has a light and bitter palate. A nice malt character that is semi earthy and nutty, a light bit of hops here and there, some light frutiy juice notes.
