Mar 10, 2006 12oz bottle from Eboats. Pours a light, clear copper color with almost no head. the little head apparent disapears quickly to leave nothing. Nose is light nuts, a bit of light molasses and sweet malt, sugars. Has a light and bitter palate. A nice malt character that is semi earthy and nutty, a light bit of hops here and there, some light frutiy juice notes.

Feb 9, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with eboats! -Thanks Caleb! - Purs amber witha nice offwhite head that stays pretty well and laces the sides of the glass. Aroma is yeast, caramel, some toffee, and just a touch of grassy hops.. Flavor is interestingly malty, caramel, yeast, slight bitter on the somewhat dry finish. Medium bodied. Not bad...

Feb 4, 2006 12oz bottle. Nice pour, burnt caramel color, good size tan head. Aroma is malts and some yeast-bread. Decent lacing. Taste has some hop bitterness. but the end and after taste is slightly empty. Thanks for the trade pal.

Nov 27, 2005 Thanks to Sledge Jr for this Nebraska brew.
This pours with a minimal creamy off white head that dissipates rapidly, over a dark amber body. Some light malt aroma.
The slight bitterness that a good ESB should have, is replaced by an off putting sourness that also hurts the dryness in the finish. A bit thin as well.
The wide variation in scores for this may suggest some inconsistencies with the brew..

Jul 18, 2005 Pours copper with little off-white head. Just a little malt in the aroma. Needs more aroma from finishing hops. Thin in flavor, maltiness, and hops. Pretty uninteresting to me.

Feb 7, 2005 Orange and light brown with little head and a little haze. Not much aroma, a bit of orange. Flavor is slightly malth and a little sour, but is lacking much of anything else. Eventually there is a minor bitterness. Not a great finish, it’s wattery and empty.

Jan 11, 2005 Beer pours clear copper color with a decent sized beige head that mostly dissipates. Aroma is pleasently malty with biscuit being predominant. Flavor is enjoyable sweet malt with some light hop bitterness in the finish. Very well balanced and quite tasty for one of the lighter styles. Thanks Kawa!

Nov 14, 2004 Poured amber with thin off white head...smell is first very cookie dough, fading into a mild floral hoppy aroma...not quite what I expected...taste is a nice interesting mix of hops, malt, then hops...doesn’t have the sour bitterness as most in this style, but more of an APA type spicy bitterness...another pleasant surprise...not bad! Thanks to eboats for this one!
