Poured a nice amber color with a decent off-white head and average lacing. Nose was very fruity, with a somewhat sweet odor. Palate was smooth and honey-like. Flavor was very interesting, with some complecity A vey nice summer beer, maybe one the better I have ever tasted. Went back for a second on this one. SledgeJr (3003), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2006 On tap at the 2006 Nebraska Craft Brewer’s Festival. Pours a cinnamon color with amedium off-white head. Mild fruit flavor seems a slight bit soapy, but not much. Tastes exactly like a steam beer. In fact, this tastes closer to Anchor than any other attempt I have tried. Mild buttery tonge feel. Fruity berries amid caramel toastiness. Good lacing remains. Earlier Rating: 6/2/2004 Total Score: 3.3 On tap at the Crescent Moon Alehouse. Copper in color with a rapidly disappearing head. Nice hop aroma. First sip reveals a strong bittering hop content that greatly satisfies. Malt content is good, but not generous. Still, the great hop flavor makes this very drinkable. bu11zeye (5672), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 9, 2005 On tap at Crescent Moon, this is a nice dark bronze beer with a substantial head. Astringent bitterness and a metallic bite. Pleasant hop character without the full fruity burst of an IPA ... Good brew. mdi (573), Nebraska, USA

Smelled grassy with some citrus. Strong hops and good bitterness. Very smooth but too hoppy for me. I will have to try it again because I had it after a vintage beer tasting, and I couldn’t get those beers out of my mouth the whole night.
