golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Aug 11, 2009 Bottle. Mirky brown pour with beige head. Nutty old malt flavor. Some bread also, and a little burnt malt. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Aug 11, 2009 Bottle; poured a darkish reddish brown with a smallish beer. Aroma nuts, caramel, cocoa with a bit of popcorn. Flavor was nutty, caramel and bready with a bit of non-buttered popcorn. A decent beer overall. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 25, 2009 (on tap at Lazlos in downtown Lincoln). Pours a clear brown color. Medium off white head. Roasted malt aroma, and roasted malt/coffee flavor. Short duration. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. rowbigred (10), Lincoln, Nebraska, USA Jun 22, 2009 Smooth and easy, this beer gives exactly what it promises, a fairly flavorful ale that isn’t heavy. It’s nothing overly special, but if you’re in the mood for something casual, you could do worse. This brown ale has nutty and caramel flavors with an overall limited but well realized palate. topherh (878), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jan 18, 2009 Poured dark brown with a beige head. Aromas of sweet malts, roasted nuts, and a little caramel. Flavor is nutty, slightly sweet, with a little chocolate in the finish. dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Nov 28, 2008 This is pretty solid. Not too nutty or malty. Easy drinking but with a full flavor. Certainly a beer worthy of repeat-drinking. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Oct 14, 2008 Dark brown body with hints of rust at the edges. The thin head is khaki colored. caramel and some milk chocolate are right up front in the initial nose. There is also a little bit of biscuit. I got strong notes of milk chocolate and pancakes in the initial tastes. As I drank more I began to note some earthy wood and hints of roast. A fairly good brown, but a little bland. WesKBob (317), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours a medium brown with very little head. Almost no aroma. Flavor is sweet malts and toffee. Has too little carbonation and tastes flat and watery. Not a bad beer, but not one I’d seek out again.
