YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany Sep 11, 2004 First I thought that this is a terrible brew - it is average. It has to warm up a little bit to show it’s good sides. Fizzy medium sized head on hazy murky brown liquid. Alcohol and almond nose, weird malt nose too. Strong alcohol taste - to offensive, also malt and raisons. imdownthepub (5089), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Sep 2, 2004 Bottled. Amber with large white head. Sweetly acidic beer with a distinct tinny /metallic note. Some deep roasted flavours with a coffee and toffee hint but mostly a disapointing beer. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium Jul 27, 2004 Nice intens red-brown color with a good fluffy head. Rich aroma with a sweet-malty accent. Nice round taste with a touch of caramel, malts and roasted malts. It has a medium afthertaste with some sweetness and some bitterness in the end. Pimgref (84), Gorinchem, Netherlands May 31, 2004 Very good looks! A little disappointing taste though. Especially the kind of menthol aftertaste. RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England May 30, 2004 Dak brown beer with a dense alcohol aroma and a wine like flavour. Overall a plain Belgian beer. maeib (4677), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England May 18, 2004 A brown beer with a long lasting off white head. The aroma has hints of banana and winter fruit whilst the taste is fairly malty and has some candy sugar. It is however thin for a dubbel madsberg (4873), Søborg, Denmark May 13, 2004 Bottled: Amber coloured. Huge beige head. Malty and spicy aroma. Flavour is a bit watery. Has notes of liqourice, alcahol and caramel. Not long lasting flavours on the palate, but the beer is quite dry. Easy drinkable. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark Mar 15, 2004 Tall though disappearing light brown head on a dark amber body. Nose is quite sweet and spicy with tones of malt, toffee and pebber. Flavor is a little thin for a dubbel, malty and spicy with a little alcohol. OK but quite anonymous.
