Bottle. Clear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, brown sugar, candy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (240208)

Dark brown with a large off white head. Delightful leathery, spicy, yeasty, wet dog aroma. Taste is a bit flat in comparison. A little malty sweetness and some alcohol, but mainly a restrained dryness with a bit too much fizz.

330ml bottle. Shared Tranquility’s - thanks! Dark red, think light head. Aroma is very perfumed, a bit shampooey, and also sweet malt. Taste similar, very sweet, extremely perfumey - as Marcus says, it’s like perfumed make-up or lipstick. Quite malty, and a bit fizzy. But I just can’t get over the over-dominant perfume taste. Is it made with 200 whores’ handkerchiefs?

Bottle. Probably we got a strange bottle, our ratings have nothing to do with those on this page. The beer is brown, with a thick, long-lasting, beige head. Nutty raisiny and most of all perfumy aroma. The taste is that of lipstick (!) and shampoo. Flowery, yes, but in the same way as soap in your mouth is. Blah.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from the Belgian Belly.
Very dark amber brown with a huge head that makes it great fun to pour. Lovely aroma with a really pleasant caramel sweetness, roasted malt, slight liquorice and some faint alcohol. Malty flavour with some slight chocolate but with some strong metallic notes. Bit of a let down after the aroma. Slightly over carbed so a little too prickly in the mouth.

Dark brown with a begie head. Burnt sugar and a yeast feel in the aroma and flavor. Also some plums and dark fruits. A clear malty feel in the flavor.

Chestnut brown with white fluffy & bubbly head. Buiscuit, caramel, toffee, roasted malt - sweet aroma. Taste is dark fruits & caramel with yeasty & sugary notes. Medium bodied - soft palate. Nice lacings. Overall enjoyable dubbel!
