Very good, you have to love the bottle conditioned belgians. Pours beautifully with a thick foam. Fills your mouth from the first sip, a little metallic and fishy (?) first taste which wears off later on. Quite an easy one actually, nothing really hits your face. It’s a little thin compared to trippels and quadruppels, but is quite full for a dubbel.

Bottle. Aroma: sweet, roasted malts, spices, dark fruits. Flavour of sweet roasted malt, plums and raisins, spices, some fruitiness. Bitter-sweetish finish.

33 cL bottle. Pours deep amber red/nutty brown with lasting white head. Seems filtered as it is hard to call it clear due to the deep colour. Slight acidic and malty aroma. Clear malt flavour with caramel notes. Interesting bitterness that makes me shiver. Simple and good!

Smells nice, a little raisins, looks good. A nice simple dubbel, not real heavy or sweet. Good, but not great.

Bottle. Small off-white head. Dark red clear body. Aroma of berries. Flavor of berries and caramel plus a good deal of carbon dioxide. Well rounded and pleasant.
