Bottle. Clear, dark amber colour with a large tan head. Nice aroma of malts, caramel and a little fruit. Coffee, chocolate and roasted malts in the flavour. Quite highly carbonated, medium bodied. Nice sharp bitter finish. Very good.

Slightly hazy bright dark reddish color. Sweet malt and nuts in the nose followed by raisins and other varying dark fruits. A touch of alcohol and a light sweetness are also present. At the front of the body is a light spritzy and a hint of dust that indicates its age. Nice warming alcohol carries into a sweet fruitiness which is quickly attacked by a bitter yeastiness. Dries out towards the end with a light hoppiness. Nice pleasant dubbel, maybe a bit old, but has come together okay.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The Fringe, Manchester. Bottle. Dark brown colour, white head. Aroma was almost absent, just a hint of dark malts and some sugar. Flavour is very metallic, malty, brown sugar, dull, thin. Light bitter finish.

Almost black colour, brownish head. Little bit spicy aroma. Bitter , little bit spicy flavour. I expected something special of this beer because it is an abbey ale, but actuallu is was quite a disappointment. At least at first I thought af a pilsener with a bit intenser taste. Though, after a while I also perceived some sweetish tastes. An average ale.

Bottled 0,33L. Much creamy head, bulky and supporter of discreet persistence. Beautiful dark brown color, much fraught and impenetrable. Decidedly alcoholic aroma with pleasant flowery notes, roast malt and stum. Sweet and spiced taste, solid and fraught body with aged notes. Much harmonious and wrapping with wine cellar and aged grapes notes on the end.
Thanks to Emma for this one.

Brown body, light brown head, fast away; Small very simple nose, with very little character, simple brown sugar and malt; Full body, sharp but full sparkle, simple sharp character; Metallic finish, medium length, a bit sour, not really pleasant.

A little metallic with slightly burnt roasted malt. Lactic acid creeps in about midpalate. The finish is toffee sugar and malt astringent.
