A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from the Belgian Belly.
Very dark amber brown with a huge head that makes it great fun to pour. Lovely aroma with a really pleasant caramel sweetness, roasted malt, slight liquorice and some faint alcohol. Malty flavour with some slight chocolate but with some strong metallic notes. Bit of a let down after the aroma. Slightly over carbed so a little too prickly in the mouth.

Pours dark caramel brown with thick sticky brown head. Aroma is fruity with tones of caramel and plums. Taste is slightly metallic, some viniousness and a caramelly finish. No bitterness.

nutty malts, with little yeast and sweetness. Taste has more alcohol than expected, malt and sweetness which makes it very drinkable.

Dark chestnut beer; cream-brown head. Aroma of dark bread, Pumpernickel. Bitter from dark malts on sweet base, without any refinement. Maybe some licorice.Medium-filled, no aftertaste. Not very rewarding. If short of choice, however...

Bottled. Amber with large white head. Sweetly acidic beer with a distinct tinny /metallic note. Some deep roasted flavours with a coffee and toffee hint but mostly a disapointing beer.

Deep reddish colour with a beige head. Malty, caramel sweet aroma with fruity and spicy notes. Malty, fruity and light caramel sweet flavor with a light dry and dusty finish.
