Shiny amber, nice brownish head. Quite weak aroma from grassy hops and some malts. ALso mildly maltywith some bread and some dried fruits. Quite a malty flavor, nutty and with some spices in the finish. But al ltogether alittle too mild to be really good.

Dak brown beer with a dense alcohol aroma and a wine like flavour. Overall a plain Belgian beer.

Dark brown with a large off white head. Delightful leathery, spicy, yeasty, wet dog aroma. Taste is a bit flat in comparison. A little malty sweetness and some alcohol, but mainly a restrained dryness with a bit too much fizz.

Reddish brown with creamy tan head. Vague aroma of chocolate, yeast and prunes. Dry yeasty flavour with a nice fruity sweetness from banana, prunes and pear. Hints of dark toasted bread in the finish.

Lovely appearance, dark brown. lasting, creamy head. Bit weak smell and taste; sweet, malty and fruity. Initial moderately malty taste is good. Dry palate.

Very nice in appearance with its mahogany body under a beige foamy head. Roasted sweet malty aroma. Smooth and harmonic taste of sweet fruits, milk chocolate offset by bitter coffee notes towards the ending. Well bodied (BBF, Oslo 10.04.2008).

Room temperature sample in requisite goblet. Noisily fizzing, soap-scented dubbel brimming with creamy suds. Flavour is blood and iron, with a handful of raisins. Some chocolate in the background. If I knew what prunes tasted like, those as well. Palate is creamy and consistent to the end. Mellow, stoutish, fruity dubbel. A real grower.
