Amber/copperish color with a beige head.
Aroma is of lively yeast/barnyard, hoppy and sugary (butterscotch) malts.
Taste is malty, dark fruits (cherry/prunes) with candi sugar.
Reminded me of a better version of the ,any German Scharzbier.

Sep 24, 2009 Dark brown body with medium head. Nose and taste of malts. Quite spicy too. Nicely balanced, sweetish with solid bitter in the finish.

Oct 11, 2009 Bottled: Aroma is malty, fruity and yeasty. Dark brown head with creamy off-white head. Flavor is malty and very fruitywith notes of plums, cherries and raisins. Dry bitter hops and roasted malt bitterness in the end. Dry finish with coffee notes. Solide, fruity beer.
