Dark brown with a huge, but big bubbly head, that leaves nice lace and small islands of foam. The aroma is malty with notes of fruit and the flavour is sweetish with notes of fruit, malt, caramel candy sugar, spice and a citrussy finish. An OK dubbel.

A Mes rate: 33cl bottle from the Belgian Belly.
Very dark amber brown with a huge head that makes it great fun to pour. Lovely aroma with a really pleasant caramel sweetness, roasted malt, slight liquorice and some faint alcohol. Malty flavour with some slight chocolate but with some strong metallic notes. Bit of a let down after the aroma. Slightly over carbed so a little too prickly in the mouth.

Color: dark beer; cream-brown head. Aroma of dark bread, Pumpernickel. Bitter from dark malts on sweet base, without any refinement. Medium-filled, no aftertaste. drinkable

33cl bottle. Amber/copperish color with a beige head. Aroma is of lively yeast/barnyard, hoppy and sugary (butterscotch) malts. Taste is malty, dark fruits (cherry/prunes) with candi sugar. Reminded me of a better version of the ,any German Scharzbier.
