MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Feb 18, 2007 (on tap at the monastery) Dark brown colour with a stable, medium-sized foamy off-white head. Sweet and slightly roasted malty aroma with a tinge of vegetables. Slim bodied, slightly sweet flavour with a moderate carbonation. Initially malty, roasted taste, again with traces of vegetables: slim and short malty finish with the imagination of cassis in the aftertaste. All in all not bad for a NA-brew (04.02.07). Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 30, 2006 My wifes mother took me and my wife to the Engelberg Kloster close to where she lives i Franken Germany, course she knew they brew beer and made there own cheese and ham. I first had the Dunkel wich was good, and this alcohol free version turnd out to be the best alcohol free beer I have ever had.
Looked as good as the Dunkel, almost black with a medium beige head. the aroma and taste was sweet malty, sirup and a bit of ashtray, but it was a bit thin, but a good alcohol free beer.
