Feb 28, 2007 Bottle: Dark amber coloured, mid-sized, stable and lacing off-white head; dark malty, coffeeish nose with a tinge of diacetyl (estery, fruity ?); moderate bitter-sweet flavour, mild MF; becomes better and more interesting towards the finish: dry, roast-malty and coffeish bitter ending. Quite good.........

Feb 18, 2007 (on tap at Kloster Engelburg) Dark brown colour with a moderate light-beige foamy head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma with caramel and a touch of coffee on a herbal hoppy background. Medium-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasted malty taste with toffee, caramel and liquorice; dry and roast-bitter, slightly hoppy finish with an aromatic roasted aftertaste. Good (04.02.07).
