There is nothing much to say about this one, it is very typical of this style and more so of the NW style. Black and dense, with a dark tan head. Nose is roasted and full of coffee, flavor matches the nose, with hints of chocolate, cherries and just a hint ever so slightly of oatmeal and coconut.

Almost black. Chocolatey, slightly coffeeish aroma. Soft palate. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Mild. Nitro.

The best party was the creamy head, agreed. Not too much else going on. Could have been a lot more full bodied and richer for this style of stout. It almost seems like they're going for a dry stout taste. Interesting brewpub, I'll have to go back.

Great big creamy head on this one (...I hope that doesn't sound like the opening line to some graphic novel...) after sampling the wonderful Roasted Porter I was stoked to try this, but was a bit disappointed. The Oatmeal stout was rather thin with hints of coffee and some bitter hops, but alltogether not a robust beer by any means, especially for being an Oatmeal Stout. I congratulated myself for having not purchased a full pint of this and continued drinking the Porter.
