Commercial Description:
A delicious India Pale Ale, complex, full flavoured with a very hoppy nose and the lasting bitterniss that one would expect from a classic English IPA. So when your throat is as dry as a dragon's firebox, slay your thirst with a pint or two.

Pint served at the Brewpub. Clear golden amber with medium white head. Sublte hint of citrus in the nose, not too hoppy, good English Style IPA. Dry finish

Draught at the brewpub. Gold with a lasting white head. Spicy and herbal hops in the aroma, rather forcefully, with just a hint of malt. The flavor is quite hoppy in a very English way, with some light malt coming through before a dry, hoppy, and pretty bitter finish. The malt is light for an IPA, but this thing screamed hops. I was digging it. Just don’t expect a big American IPA malt balance to those hops.

12 oz bottle poured into a mug. Slightly hazed light amber with a small dense cap of light beige foam. Aroma is crystal malty with a sweet citric tinge. Flavor is very lemony with some resinous herbal character as well. Not much malt backing, which wouldn’t be an issue except it makes for a thin, weak body. Very highly carbonated. Decent bitterness with a little astringency, but overall this tastes like bitter hoppy seltzer.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours golden yellow with a big white head, spider web lace. Smells slightly bitter and a bit resiny hoppy with some good malt sweetness. Tastes sweet and malty with nice citrusy, resiny hops. Light not too bitter, not too sweet. Medium body, ok carbonation.

Bottle at Fishwife, Monterey. Poured darker than expected. Aroma was very weak, no hops. Taste is also not very hoppy, more of a malty brew, with some light spice. Obviously an English IPA, but not really a good one. Mouth is relatively thin and watery.

Bottle. Bin sale at Cap & Cork L.A. Very British style IPA. Crisp hop bite, darker colour, subdued nose, blanced taste but less than spectacular. An average American attempt at an English IPA.
