| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2009 Draught at the brewpub. Gold with a lasting white head. Spicy and herbal hops in the aroma, rather forcefully, with just a hint of malt. The flavor is quite hoppy in a very English way, with some light malt coming through before a dry, hoppy, and pretty bitter finish. The malt is light for an IPA, but this thing screamed hops. I was digging it. Just don’t expect a big American IPA malt balance to those hops. illidurit (896), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 24, 2009 12 oz bottle poured into a mug. Slightly hazed light amber with a small dense cap of light beige foam. Aroma is crystal malty with a sweet citric tinge. Flavor is very lemony with some resinous herbal character as well. Not much malt backing, which wouldn’t be an issue except it makes for a thin, weak body. Very highly carbonated. Decent bitterness with a little astringency, but overall this tastes like bitter hoppy seltzer. anders37 (4792), Malmö, Sweden

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jul 6, 2008 Bottle at Fishwife, Monterey. Poured darker than expected. Aroma was very weak, no hops. Taste is also not very hoppy, more of a malty brew, with some light spice. Obviously an English IPA, but not really a good one. Mouth is relatively thin and watery. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA
