Fresh, but with some boiled vegetables, scent. Ratehr high bitterness. Medium mouth feel. Rather boring and easily forgotten. Perhaps I’m just Americanized regarding my taste of I.P.A.? thomat (666), Göteborg, Sweden

Amber colour with a good, remaining creamy head. Aroma is earthy hoppy, with notes of lead and citrus. The hop bite in flavour strikes you immediately, here is loads of alpha acids. Nice. Rounded mouthfeel. The bitterness after is dry and fruity and lasts long. There is a touch of lead all along. Pretty light body after all, at 5,6%. 50 IBU? Not bad for an English India Pale Ale. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Copper/orange color, very nice creamy white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus notes. Fruity flavor that turns quite hoppy and bitter. A bit grassy and metallic, citrus notes. Most of my IPA´s lately have been american, and this is not very close to those beers. Still its a nice brew... AZeagle (11), Cave Creek, Arizona, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2006 Bottle. Amber in color with a very white head. Subtle hop aroma. Initially sweet with a bitter hop finish, nice bite. Lingering flavor of the hops. Would rather they called it Cobb ESB rather than IPA. maeib (4760), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 8, 2006 Bottled. An amber coloured beer with a wispy off white head. The aroma is nicely hoppy, but thet are not the aromatic American hops that may have qualified it as an IPA, more the soapy English hops with a bit of peppery quality that qualify it as a Prem Bitter. The taste is a good balance of hop and malt. Again there is a soapy and peppery character, and a good level of English bitterness. A tasty beer using a hop I’d not heard of. Aroma is hoppy with citrus, spices and perhaps a touch of barnyard. A pretty hoppy taste too, some spices and oranges and a long lightly bitter finish. Medium bodied, softly carbonated. I like it.
