garrison (427), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Sep 22, 2007 Updated: Sep 23, 2007 On tap at the Cincinnati, Ohio, Oktoberfest - This one pours a dark reddish-brown brew with a sweet beer aroma and fine, quickly diminishing beige head of foam. Tastewise, well, it’s a marzen, and a good one, with no off notes or surprises... meaning that it’s also ruin-of-the-mill, with no standout character.
yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 8, 2008 50 cL bottle as Oktoberfest Weissbier. Pours hazy golden orange with a huge and creamy off-white head. Aroma is of wheat and somewhat malty. Creamy texture. Flavour is wheaty with a decent caramel malt base. Dry wheaty notes but not really with esters as such as the caramel/biscuit malt seems to take that out. Medium dry finish. badbeer (407), Iowa, USA Jul 7, 2008 Dark golden color with a pillowy white head, typical looking for a hefe. Smell is grainy, sweet, and I even get a little bit of lemon. Taste immediately gives you a sweet caramel flavor, some clove, and earthy hops. Mouthfeel is full, with higher than medium carbonation. Very drinkable beer for me, I liked this a little more than expected, I wish I picked up more. MelbBrewers_JD (32), Australia Jul 3, 2008 Aroma is of watermelon which would be the yeast coming through, also some malt in the aroma. Mouthfeel is quite malty. A very enjoyable beer. Would happily purchase again. Ramenen (339), San Salvador, El Salvador Jun 30, 2008 Thanks to ghawner. Drank it during Eurocup Final 2008. Sorry ghawener. Very average, taste was below average. ghawener (679), San Salvador, El Salvador Jun 29, 2008 bottle: typical lighter okterfest style, a bit too light though. nice on the festswiese as a session beer. euro 08 final
