Ungstrup (11147), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 20, 2002 A brown to deep red unclear beer with a fantastic head. It has a nice fruity aroma and the flavor of hoppy bitterness combined with a pikant spicyness omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 3, 2002 Updated: Sep 26, 2004Beautiful nut brown and hazy. Toffee aroma, rather malty, rather sweet, but it lacks character. A pale shadow to other weizenbock, missing all the complexity, and all the flavours that make the style interesting. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 28, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Cloudy, deep dark and opaque. Extremely full-bodied and potent with some sweetness underneath. Notes of oak, port, dates - you name it, all good stuff. Bears some resemblance to strong, Belgian ales - even the abbey styles. An excellent beer. 081000 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 26, 2001 I’m not a huge fan of this - I get way too much alcohol taste. Stick with Aventinus for your weizenbock fix. yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark Dec 27, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours hazy and dark brown with a dense off-white head. Mild malty aroma. Flavour starts mild sweet to medium dry, not much of the classic wheat notes here apart from the classic wheat mellow texture. Finish holds a soft malt flavour, some alcohol presence and a mild bitterness.
