jaghana (14), Strasbourg, France Aug 29, 2008 Deep dark brown colour, fine and very persistent head. Chocolate aroma very low, mostly cereales aroma. Fine but not as great as expected. SHIG (1484), Oberoffligen, Germany Aug 29, 2008 Bottle: Poured a reddish brown with a off white head. Aroma is dirty with leafs. Taste is slight caramel, more leafs, little malt, and metal. Lord_Corkscrew (545), Ronco Scrivia (GE), Italy Aug 29, 2008 In bottiglia al ristorante a Naturno insieme ad un gulasch con canederli; aroma quasi inesistente, sapore flebile con scarsissima banana e giusto un poco poco di sentori ’scuri’ (caffè), ma per il resto sciacquata e insulsa come la sua controparte chiara. romeogolf (2), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada does not count Aug 27, 2008 Bottle from Brewery Creek poured into a Schneider Flaschengarung. Clear mahogany brown with good carbonation and a two-finger, cappuccino head. Moderate clove and banana nose with vanilla and bready malt. Low banana and clove flavor with moderate vanilla, caramel, and some breadiness; medium malty richness; low hop bitterness; slightly sweet palate with low tart citrus and relatively dry finish. A good example of a classic Dunkelweizen. elihapa (244), Connecticut, USA Aug 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a murky dark brown with a two-finger tan head. Aroma of wheat, malt, some brown sugar. Initial flavor of wheat, primarily. I felt that the carbonation hid any other significant flavor at first. As the beer sits in your mouth, flavors of dark fruit, biscuit, and caramel come out. Decent, but really lacking that special touch.
