Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Nice dark brown cola pour, big foamy head. Taste is wheaty, malt, cola and belgian yeast, almost sweet and sour taste. Nice yeasty/wheat finish. Nice beer.

Pours a deep brown colour, with a reasonably thick brown head. Nose is lots of dark fruits. Plenty of raisins, and just a hint of dark chocolate. Flavour is fruity, but not like a fruit beer, just fruity. There is also a lot of spicyness which I would assume to be wheat. Also a hint of banana and maybe some cloves, although, I may just be imagining that part because I think it should be there possibly. Mouthfeel is not too bad, there is some body to it, and the carbonation is not too strong. Reasonably light drinking for a dark beer too. Not bad,

Coloração café, com espuma escura, mas pouco vigorosa. Sabor frutado, ligeiramente adocicado, pouco persistente.

Pours a verk, very dark brown almost black. Huge frothy beige head. Aroma of citrus, chocolate, and spice. Tastes of malt, chocolate, spice. Definatly a wheat beer. Not as flavorful as advertised... But still very good.

Black, with a large brown head. Aroma of spices and herbs with a malty taste. Distinctively wheat with an extra touch. Deep flavor and very smoth

Highly carbonated, cola colored body with thickish white head. Mildly wheat aroma lightly hoppy. Flavor of light wheat and very little yeast or complexity. Surprisingly boring. Dissapointingly lackluster.

A dark beige head atop dark brown brew, this one had distinct notes of toated malt, a little citurs against a background of hops. A real nice alternative to most hefes.
