| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 13, 2008 (Sample from September 29, 2006 Beer Club Meeting; 500ml bottle, last on July 12, 2008) Quick drink before going out… looks great in the glass, a lovely dark brown color. Light and sweet, but less sweet than many of the lighter Weissbiers. More heavy, malty and minerally. Honestly, I think of this beer and I think "lunch". Goes great with a bag lunch, ham & cheese, etc. Yummy! jujubeast6000 (776), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 10, 2008 (bottle 03-2009): Pours a dark reddish body. Brownish head, creamy & lasting, and pretty big. Malty, somewhat banany aroma, grapey. Not too strong an aroma. Somewhat banana, dusty taste. More body than a hefeweizen. Nutty.

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 7, 2008 This dark brown beer poured with a large beige head that subsided in a couple minutes. The wheat base is barely discernible under the roasted malt flavor, which is tasty but a bit thin. There is a carbonated finish. SeanMacGC (237), Dublin, Ireland

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Updated: Jul 4, 2008North American label calls this Hefe Weizen Dark. Aroma is malty, a bit fruity and perhaps with a metallic touch. Pours an almost completely opaque black with a long lasting off-white head. Unfortunately the foam doesn’t seem to want to leave any lacing whatsoever. Taste is like a mix of a hefeweizen and a stout. Mouthfeel begins with carbonation but ends up a bit watery. Some bitterness overall, but more malt. I’ll stick with Schneider Aventinus for a similar, but better, beer.
