| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2008 Bottle poured into my trusty stein- poured dark brown, nice off tan head formed and stayed around to play cards with me, medium-light carbonation. Aroma of burnt wheat with notes of banana and clove- a little odd with the burnt wheat for me. Hits the mouth with a high-thin body, malt comes through cleanly and has a creaminess to it, very slight sugar note on the finish. Another one for my sessioner class of brews... | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Aroma is caramel and alcohol. Color is a near solid hazy amber with good carbonation and a tight off white head. Taste is fizzy and roasted. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down with a foamy feel. Finish is a mildly roasted caramel taste backed by a easy bitterness. In the after taste there is an alcohol feel and a slight sourness. Not bad, but for some reason the alcohol is prevalent yet the content is not that high. I noticed this in the Kristallweizen also, but not in the Pikantus that has ABV. of 7.3%. ogreface (303), Budapest, Hungary
Nem rossz de annyit nem ér emennyit nálunk kérnek érte. leftarmover (8), Alberta, Canada does not count | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 7, 2008 Attractive looking beer, with nice thick off-white head. Bready aroma with very little noble hop coming through. A little "mouth-thin" for my liking given the sweet malt on your palate...was looking for a little more body to go with the sweetness. However, still an enjoyable glass and would gladly sup a few more!
