ilovesmid (15), Ireland Feb 1, 2008 A very nice, healthy brew. Nice sustained head and strong flavours of malt and a little fruit. Dark body. Coolers, Dublin Ireland. 50cl bottle. 380streamline (4), Middleton, England does not count Jan 31, 2008 In direct contrast to the hefeweiss by this brewer - which I dont rate highly - this beer was much better. The dark colour hinted at the rich flavour to come, and the complex of fruit and maltiness made for a very pleasant beer, and a fine example of the dunkel style. Rotorhead87 (117), Temple, Texas, USA Jan 26, 2008 Pours an amber color with a HUGE head. The taste is the typical wheat sweetness tempered by some nice malt flavors.
A nice solid dunkelweizen. Not the best, but not the worst either. hrossrm (20), Maine, USA Jan 26, 2008 Poured from bottle. Very dark and cloudy brown with mild carbonation and a thick head. Can smell the abundance of wheat and the deeply roasted malts. Great sweet and tasty maltiness with a smooth finish. A bit soapy because of the long-lasting head. Probably the first dark wheat beer I’ve enjoyed! lithilorn (168), Covilhã, Portugal Jan 24, 2008 Bottle. dark brown body and light brown head.Aroma is malty with wheat. flavor is the same. not very intersting beer. ford9719 (369), Vilseck, Germany Jan 24, 2008 Bottle. Poured a cloudy marron color. Aroma is malty with some notes of some fruit. Taste is smooth with a nice crisp sweet finish. KimJohansen (6645), Copenhagen V, Denmark Jan 16, 2008 Hazy brown with large head. Fruity aroma with caramel and wheat notes Flavor is fruity with light roasted malt and wheat. Not that complex but refreshing. darkseduction (198), Zweibrücken, Germany Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Dark amber colour, few yeast, slight hops, easy to drink but nothing special.
