Hard to see if it was cloudy as its so dark but finally was able to see it. Nice toasty malt aroma. Light toasty taste reminiscent of well done toast. High carbonation feel on the palate but surprisingly light. Very drinkable and worthy of future purchases. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada

Pours a very dark brown colour with a generous light brown head. The head sticks around for awhile as well. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, spice and some fruit (I had a plugged up nose, so maybe im way off) Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, and some spice. There is also caramel and some molasses present. Somewhat thin on the mouth but not detractingly so. This is my first Dunkel, its not bad but i definetly prefer my weisse over it. junon (215), Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

Smells quite pleasant to tell you the truth but doesnt smell like a beer. Pours black to me while others say brown. Foamy head that disappears quickly which is very disappointing. After the head goes it looks like Im drinking a Cola. The same could be said about the taste almost like Im drinking a Cola or a non-alcoholic carbonated soda. Not much mouth feel to it either. tomer (380), Rishon Le Zion, Israel
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 21, 2007 0.5L bottle. Murky dark brown with some deep red streaks. mild roasty aroma with some yeast, some roasty aroma and some metalic notes, aftertaste is sour in an unpleastant way. Overall the beer feels diluted, very dissapointing. popkow (107), New York, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2007 On tap at the Loreeley a biergarten on Rivington St NYC. I enjoyed the weisen meets dark malt that poured an average head. Cloudy body released roasted grain taste. Body was medium and provided a moderate sweet and bitter combo. robforbes (1085), Bremerton, Washington, USA
