Jul 16, 2007 Bottle @ House of Brews (46th St), NYC. Pours a hazy dark brown and that prominent tan head you see in every weissbier. Aroma is of clove, banana, malt, and slight chocolate. Taste is predominantly chocolate but I also detected some clove and banana as well. A great dunkelweizen.

Jul 15, 2007 Pours a hazy dark body with a large brownish head.
Aroma is little weak but it is little fruite and roasted and yeasty.
Flavor has small banana notes(very small if you compare it with other weissen). Itis somewhat bready and spicy, some roasted malt to.
Palate is creamy and smoth, very thick and little dry.

Jul 13, 2007 Pours a somewhat hazy dark brown with a big full light tan head that doesn’t go away. Wheat malt aroma with some fruity esters. Sweet bready flavor with some roasted malt. Perhaps a little coriander and clove present as well. Pretty decent and very refreshing, but not very weizen. A little on the thin side.

Jul 11, 2007 Dark, murky reddish brown color with a large head. Strong wheat aroma along with a bit of banana, but a little sour. Strong, malty body with a dry grain finish. Definite wheat flavors, but it lacks the banana/clove combo. Some chocolate.

Jul 8, 2007 500ml bottle -pours a big foamy to rocky light tan head and brown color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, dark fruit, secondary hops, cardboard (maybe helps explain the big head). Taste is medium malt-caramel, dark fruit, light faint hops, cardboard, slight spice, some yeast-banana. Light side of medium body. Mild carbonation.

Jul 6, 2007 Big off white head. slight malty, and yeasty aroma. Kinda weak in flavour, thin and wattery, meh, not their best, pretty much the same as their regualr weisse, might be one of the worls most popular weisse beers, but far from the best.

[756B-20071013] Tap @ West 50 (Mississauga, ON). Faint bit of yeast aroma. Hazy, dark brown amber body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bit of bubblegum malt flavour and generic pear-like fruit. Smooth medium body. Nice and smooth. (6/4/7/4/14) 3.5

Jul 2, 2007 Pours dark ebony with a soft beige head. Creamy on the palate, not very dry, with a light roastiness, mild clove banana and smooth wheat and molasses finish. This really didn’t go over the top with yeast esters, which made this a much more mellow beer, while not as thirst quenching as the really dry and crisp dunkelweizens this is more of a smooth and creamy brew.
