| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 4, 2007 Appearance: dark brown with reddish touch. Little head, beige color, medium consistence and few persistent.
Aroma: sweet malty, toasty cereal, sweet chocolate and candy. Fruity touch and sweet-spicy like mocha, nutmeg and clove.
Flavor: sweet toasty malts, coffee, candy and banana. Sweet start that progresses in a fruity citric and finishes in a low dryness of hops and toast. Something of metallic end.
Palate: Medium body and watery texture. Low to medium carbonation.
Mediocre beer.

Had no idea there was such a thing as a dark hefe. I really enjoyed it. Poured a very dark brown with large head that lasted a while...taste was wheat and malts and a bit of spice. Very good compliment to the German food. Maria (6167), Thisted, Denmark
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Jun 2, 2007 Hazy, dark brown with a huge head. The aroma has a discrete wheaty note and a light sourness and the flavour has notes of malt and a bit of wheat and caramel. It’s a bit too anonymous, but if you aren’t yet into wheat beers, it’s a nice place to start. greenmanalishi (298), Leicestershire, England

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2007 bottle. brown/cranberry pour with thin head. sour malts, raison, floral hops, musky, spice aroma. medium body. fruit throughout. balanced well. strong malt presence. slight banana and spice but fairly mild. solid but nothing out of the ordinary. cking (1019), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2007 Rated 7/3/06: Newly stocked item at a local store, picked up a single. Even with the glass tilted an enormous fluffy head sat atop a dark cola colored beer. After a few minutes the head settled and a nice looking glass of beer sat in front of me. Nice and aromatic sweet yeasty scents are easily detected. This one is definately different from the other hefe’ and dunkel-weizens where as it doesn’t seem to contain a large presence of banana and clove esters. Although unique it is still very appealing. Mouthfeel is better than average, very smooth but somewhat dry. Flavor is good and surprisingly mellow for this style. Seems balanced and the sweetness from the aroma carries through. Not the best I’ve sampled but well worth picking up. Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA
