Deep brown and surprisingly clear for a hefe Weizen. Light bready nose with just a hint of banana phenol. Very low chocolate, hardly there, I was looking for more along with a more pronounced banana bread palate. Borderline sweet. Nice easy drinking beer that was a hit with my novice beer drinking friends but lacking phenol-ester and chocolate and/ or toasted malt complexity that are hallmarks of the style. So mild this could almost pass as an Alt beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

No discernable carbonation. Sweet malt and hop aroma. Medium bodied beer that starts dry with caramel flavor. Finished dry with light malt fade. Although watery and thin, this is a decent beer that went well with a chicken quesadilla. Borup (1361), Albertslund, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2006 Bottle picked up at Morrissons, Aylesbury 8th August 2006, and drank this in a field at Cropredy, Fairport Conventions Cropredy Festival Thursday 10th August. This was another of my beers that I had to drink straight from the bottle having forgotten to take a glass into the field. It looked very dark in the bottle, and I could detect a nice malty rich and roasty aroma, there was some nice maltiness in the taste along with a bit ofn yeast as well, even a bit of fruit there. Pretty good beer all things considered. bitbucket (2031), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Bottled. Pours a clear dark brown with a slightly lacy tan head. The aroma is light, with a bit of cloves and roasty malt. The body is light, with medium fine carbonation. The taste is subtle for a dark beer, with a bit of spice, fruit, and just a hint of coffee. This is the "lightest" dark beer I’ve sampled so far. fonefan (11058), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Gigantic bubbly tan-colored head that leaves foam on the glass and finally settles into a thick layer of microscopic bubbles. A cascade of bubbles rose up in a steady stream from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is predominantly wheat, but is balanced with sweet, malty and slightly hoppy elements. Wheat, malt, yeast, and spices are the main components of the flavor, with hints of hops and fruit. BitchesBrew (710), Berkeley, California, USA
