Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Really good beer, medium creamy body, some caramel flavors, yeasty, malty, bit sweet, very easy to drink, very nice.

A dark chocolate brown beer and a strong beige head. A clean malty nose with a slight metallic finish. A dry bitter flavour of malt and caramel sweetness.

Brown with a big beige head. Bubblegum and caramel aroma. Sweet caramel and malt flavours, banana, bubblegum in the short finish. Medium to light body, quite fizzy. Quite a nice thirst quencher.

Bottle, 50cl. Beautiful dark brown colour, almost black, with a creamy tan head that lasts long. Unfortunatelly, aroma is very weak with a few malty notes and some smokeyness. Flavour is better, with hints of malt and coffee but also a strange matallic presence, quite annoying. Light body and a bit watery. Very uninteresting.

Nice looking beer.mahogany with a lovelly and huge ,creamy tan head. Very malty type aroma thjough much sour and wheat notes are detected. Taste is quite smooth and mostly all malt, with slight touches of estery tastes and the mearest hint of bitterness near the end. Not too bad on the palate..thin but acceptable given the style. Nice enough beer not great but much better than their Hefe.

Pours almost black with nada on the nose. Medium nectar. Mildly dry cocoa/coffee tropshire and light celery on the finish. Not much going on here. I can see why it’s the lowest priced dunkel.

Bottled. Huge foam head on a brown body dark enough to resemble black. Have to hand it to the brewer, Erdinger products always look good. Malty sweet aroma with light wheat and banana. Yeasty. Smooth palate, very creamy, dark and mildly sweet with a far lower degree of fruity esters than expected. Caramel. A little watery.

Black dark body with light brown head, hardly any aroma at all. no flavour that is very distinct, fizzy mouth palate.
