| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2009 This stuff is blackness, very dark beer with just a hint of reddish brown showing on the edges of the glass when held up to the light, a massive tan head that lasts a long time and leaves amazing lacing floats on top of the dark body. The aroma is weak mostly sour with some malts, maybe a hint of spice. A very refreshing light taste that is slightly bitter, nice and malty with some sour aspects. The after taste has a sweet coffee flavor but it dosn’t linger very long, the beer got more flavorful as it warmed. This is a very enjoyable beer, all the components come together very well and make a great brew. RuneStumo (514), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway

Aroma is a little weker than you should expect. The beer tastes good and there is a realy nice bitterness in the after. PapaSkeetSkeet (65), , Massachusetts, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 11, 2009 Pours medium to light brown with off-white head. Nose is somewhat tame compared to other Hefe-Weizens I’ve sampled recently, whether dunkel or not. Palate offers a medium malty flavor with brown bread, light baking spices, and a faint suggestion of cookie dough. Finish is medium short with more cookie dough.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2009 Dark brown pour, tan/white head. Malt smell, but lakes the wheat smell of a hefe. Sweet malt flavor, hint of banana bread, but again lacks the qualities of a hefe. Good beer. Suede53 (39), Canton, Ohio, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 4, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a very dark and nearly opaque brown. Thick biege head that sadly didn’t last. Aroma was very mild, slightly roasted. Taste was very plain and disappointing. Slightly sweet and roasted malts, touch of coffee. Finish is clean with a little spice and the first notion of any alcohol. Palate is smooth and a little on the thin side. Overall, I was disappointed and expecting more since I enjoyed the Hefe so much.
