| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 5, 2005 Nose of mainly wheats and some banana. Quite weak. Cloudy, brown coloured with a lasting, thin, off-white head. Taste is sweet, wheaty, some banana in it, slightly smoked (which is a nice addition). Body is a bit too thin. Overal an okay, refreshing dunkelweizen . DougShoemaker (2856), Toronto, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 29, 2005 Malty aroma, dark brown, red at the edges, pours a short lived tan head. Flavour has malt, some hops. Light bodied, sweet. Fair. If I sampled this blindfolded, I wouldn’t guess it was a Dunkelweisse, seemed like an ESB, making this long anticipated beer disappointing. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 9/20 | Jul 3, 2006 500ml bottle served in a long tall World Cup glass at Blå Rock Cafe in Tromsø while watching Start vs TIL. Very nice appearance. Hazy dark brown. Sweet malts in a rather hard-to-pick-aroma. Flavour of dark fruit with light notes of yeast. Medium palate, but far from powerful. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Pours dark ebony with a soft beige head. Creamy on the palate, not very dry, with a light roastiness, mild clove banana and smooth wheat and molasses finish. This really didn’t go over the top with yeast esters, which made this a much more mellow beer, while not as thirst quenching as the really dry and crisp dunkelweizens this is more of a smooth and creamy brew. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 25, 2002 Pours with a mongo head that really lasts and looks beautiful (see the photo). Having been burned by other Erdingers (which I thought were outdone by Ayinger and Hacker), I wasn’t expecting the moon with this one. And I didn’t get it. It’s a little lacking in the wheaty characteristics I’d have hoped for. Like most dunkels, it has a bit more malt than a hefe, but it’s not as roasty/malty as I would have thought. Serviceable, but not inspired. thebeertourist (2822), Oslo, Norway

Sweet caramel and malt flavours, banana, bubblegum in the short finish. Medium to light body, quite fizzy. Quite a nice thirst quencher. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
