Brune foncée vaseuse, petit collet. Arome légé de malte épicé et un peu torifié. Goût de malte chocolaté faible et un petit peu amère, plutôt aqueuse. Plutôt décevent! DSG (1514), Tel Aviv, Israel

Aroma is a bit light and is fruity, malty and a bit yeasty. Flavor is malty and a bit fruity with some banana notes. A bit of toastiness in the finish. Medium-bodied with lots of carbonation. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 20, 2007 This beer didn’t impress me much. Poured a dark amber color with a nice retaining head. Smell had nice fruity accents and good taste of maltiness. Decient taste of dark malt but not much there on any other flavor. I did like this beer though. Finn (1510), Tromsø, Norway
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 10, 2006 Bottle 0,5l. Deep red - almost black. A pretty, creamy head lasting for a while. No wheat beer feeling. Unvaried taste. Dull. Some dry bitterness in the finish. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA

Clean, smooth flavor. I never know how to describe Dunkels but I really enjoy them. Quite enjoyable. MaiBockAddict (1499), Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2004 0.5 l bottle. Very dark and cloudy, off white head. Aroma not very pronounced and subdued for a weizen. Malty, slightly chocolatey flavor. Fizzy. Eructoblaster (1499), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Pours a cloudy dark brown body with low carbonation and a huge beige frothy head. Fair malty/hoppy aroma with yeasty and brown sugar hints. Taste is well balanced but it lacks complexity and strength. Ends with a decent bittersweet, yeasty finish. Classic Dunkelweizen. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Tarnished bruised brown with amber edging. Sits almost black in most light. Emensely tall, billowing sandy colored foam grows up quickly from the pour. Gets a little too big too quick, yet it’s impressive. Takes a long time to dwindle, if it all, to one solid capping of whipped froth with a light bumpyness to its surface. Strangely laced in long skinny patches.
Aroma of dry wheat and cocoa. Slightly woodish and/or dried leaves or husks and a touch of vanilla bean skins.
Taste is mild, crisp, and dryish with a dark bread crust backing, a brief standing wheaty sweetness slips across its nature. Dried wheat husk, straw, and cocoa keeps some nice additions to the flavors. Not bad, was looking for a bit more out if it but what there is quite relaxing and pleasant once a few sips have set in.
Feel is medium bodied and fairly set with a stern, bold give and take in its carbobation. A touch frothy and tenderly sweet with a nice drying effect throughout its character.
A pretty soild Dunkel. A bit on the tame side; non banana-like but worthy with its bold body and dryness of husks and cocoa. Easily sessionable.
