Dominating raisins in the nose. Fruity with hints of almonds and a good malty background. Slightly smoky. This beer is nicely balanced. Malty, moderately sweet and with a hint of sourness. Light bodied. Notes of bergamot, soap, raisins, licorice and cereals. Some cloves and garlic?! showing up. Slightly watery. Bready. Malty finish with a hint of plums. Rerate: Mediocre, let’s face it! Dryish, not at all sweet, aroma. Subdued black roasted malts come out soft and gentle. No hints of harsh acrid burnt malts at all. Palate is clean, clearly helped by the high carbonation level. Smooth mouthfeel that is only interrupted by the tickling from carbonation. Not at all a complex beer, but is a nice alternative to their ordinary hefe-weizen. Bullit (1392), Glasgow, Scotland
