Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Dark brown, light beige foamy head. Sourish apple sauce aroma, little roasted malts and rust. Flavor is softly roasted and wheaty with little coffee and cocoa. Smoooth. Medium bodied, a bit spritzy carbonation. Very schwartzbier like dunkelweizen, I like that roastiness.

One bottle from BOTW. Hazy nut brown, good brownish head. Sugary fruity aroma. A bit smokey. Dry, roasted, not much sweetness, long roasted malty aftertaste. Drinkable dunkelweizen.

Pours a hazy deep brown with a huge amount of fizzy/foamy tan head. Aroma is sweet, malty, and a slight chocolate yeasty scent. Flavor is a very light sweet caramel wheat crisp flavor. Overall, a decent brew.

Flaske. Igen en glædelig overraskelse. Flot mørk øl, med en kant af alkohol jeg normalt ikke opfanger i øl under 8-9 %. Og bestemt ikke forventede her. Dette er ment på en positiv måde. Så thumps up.

Big light-tan head, hazy reddish-brown body, malty nose. Not terribly wheaty, some maltiness, somewhat sour finish. Very bland.

Muddy brown color with a large light brown head. Wheaty aroma with a yeasty tang, and hint of clove. Malts, hints of toast and nuts, mild sweetness towards the finish. Yeast and clove flavors in the finish.
