I’m not a great fan of the standard Erdinger, which I find a bit bland, and although I found this to be a bit better, you can get MUCH better for around the same amount of cash...this was from Asda,Carlisle and was about £1.70-80. mansquito (829), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 This beer sports a huge off white head. Rather dark brown body. Fruity aroma. Taste has some roasty flavors along with the standard weizen flavors like banana and spice. Sort of malty actually as well. A little too much carbonation for my liking. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

Is it a requirement for imported beers, maybe? Taste is something like a soft lemon sugar pastry you buy at a bakery. Aroma is at times like the Dr. Pepper I used to get straight from the soda tap at Burger King. Yum. Kinda cloudy. All that allusion aside, decent, but unexceptional. trapez (808), Hilleroed, Denmark

Dark borwn colour with high light brown or beige head. Roasted alt flavour with a bit of chocolate. Sweet. MEdium carbonation. screwball (796), Motala, Sweden

There might be some coffee, wood tone to it.
Also of course some yeast tone.
I lke the brighter ones better. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Soul Cafe, Budapest. Very dark brown colour with a large off white creamyish head. Looked the part. Aroma was brown sugar, malt and some dark fruit. Flavour was pretty malty with some sweetness. Balance was ok. Not bad, just not earth shattering. Probably the best beer of the trip, which isn’t saying much. drjay44 (790), Salida, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 23, 2009 500 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, even overly bountiful head of long duration, with minimal lacing, over a cloudy dark brown (SRM 20) body...nose is of bread, slight yeast, mild spice, clove, allspice, bit of citrus.....tastes initially of neutral malts, then mild spice finish, mild sweetness throughout....mouth feel is light and somewhat watery. A much lighter beer in terms of nose and taste than I expected.
