Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

Not much nose, but this thing looks beautiful: dark, chocolate-brown and a lucious head that won’t quit. Sweet roasted malt taste with hints of toffee. Sweet finish that leaves a sugary feeling on your lips. Smooth with a very clean palatte, perhaps a little thin. Very enjoyable though. Einfach süfig!

Very dark brown with a huge beige head. Caramel malt aroma. Flavor is weak but of caramel and a little chocolate. Body is kind of watery.

Nice large head. As a nice aroma and a palate of caramel. Smooth and easy drinkable like the other beers in the Erdinger assortment. The wheat is’nt that obvious.

Strangely tastes just like the Erdinger hefe. More creamy and a little more sweet. The color is dark brown andvery nice. Little browned and very creamy head. It goes down nice, and refreshing.

Good round taste that stays with a long aftertaste. Sweet and soft as most wheat beers, but with a harder edge og roasted and chocolate barley.

Bottle. This weiss poors as dark as a stout! It has a nice creamy head. This beer is all texture without much taste. It does have a subtle caramel taste. Goes down smooth and is real easy to drink.
