Flavor is softly roasted and wheaty with little coffee and cocoa. Smoooth. Medium bodied, a bit spritzy carbonation. Very schwartzbier like dunkelweizen, I like that roastiness. Personally I think it looks great, but the aroma and taste did not impress me as much. Not much to keep the palate entertained. Pretty straight forward all the way through. the sweetness is the only thing that works for me. drowland (1435), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Pours cloudy reddish brown. The aroma is cream, roasty dark malts, and a small amount of typical hefe mixed with a dash of metal. The aroma reminds me a bit of a schwarzbier. The flavor is sweet malt, a bit of metal, and a little hefe but not much. Gary (351), Buckinghamshire, England

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Very big tan head, cloudy dark brown colour. The aroma is very clean, malts and hops and roasted malts too. Flavour is roasted a bit acidic and hoppier than most german weisses. Mouthfeel is crisp with medium bubbles. To me this was a very good weissbier, not exceptional like weihenstephaner, but still very good. g2bfry (49), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2008 Pours a very dark brown, with cloudy opaqueness, and a dark tan head. Distinct citrus and malt aromas. A slight coffee taste, good amount of toffee and rye which lingers in the aftertaste. A little more carbonation than other weißbiers. Lingering froth on the top of the beer, and a bit of lace. davidm (203), Melbourne, Australia
