Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Water; wheat malt; barley malt; roasted malt; hops; yeast.
A wheat beer from the good old days.
Erdinger Weissbier ’dark’ is a rich and smooth wheat beer specialty from Erdinger Weissbräu. It owes its full-bodied flavor to the fine hops and dark malt used in its production.
The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ’with fine yeast’.

500ml Bottle. Saw this in Morrisons - had to buy it. Pours with a big tan head, very dark brown body, my mate described it as looking ’like coke’. Roasted flavors, wheat, yeast and a hint of coriander. Some fruity, apple-like stuff in there too. As ever with weizens, it felt a bit watery, nice flavors just not enough of them. Very good mouth feel and easy to drink. I’m a fan of the dunkelweizen style, and this is a good one - recommended.

Pours a hazy dark body with a large brownish head. Aroma is little weak but it is little fruite and roasted and yeasty. Flavor has small banana notes(very small if you compare it with other weissen). Itis somewhat bready and spicy, some roasted malt to. Palate is creamy and smoth, very thick and little dry.

Coloração café, com espuma escura, mas pouco vigorosa. Sabor frutado, ligeiramente adocicado, pouco persistente.

.5 liter bottle. Pours a dark brown with a small fizzy white head. The body is quite thin and smooth. The taste is quite like a hefe-weizen, but not citrusy or sweet. A strong wheat flavor with some roasted malt and cocco. Really drinkable and nice.

Dark fruit and cola spices. Dark brown with orange hues, big tan fluffy head. Clovey syrup with mild perpper, moderate and appropriate bitter balance. Big carbonation, medium body, mild spicy finish. Pretty solid beer, very restrained flavors, but it all works.

500 ml bottle, but says 5.5% abv. Pours a hazy black with a decent tan head that slowly fades. Taste is of caramel, chocolate, malt, wheat, yeast, fruit and spice. Similar aroma. Has a good tingley mouthfeel and aftertaste that leaves me wanting more. A little foamy. Smooth, easy to drink, fulfilling and rather enjoyable.

500ml bottle. Poured a dark tan colour with a big foamy tan head. Taste and aroma of burnt malt. Could drink more than one of these.
