Otherwise, nothing exceptional apart from the usual caramel, a bit sweet. afireinside96 (835), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA

Murky dark brown body topped by a lasting creamy off-white head. Quite an attractive Dunkel in my book. Soft caramel and cocoa smell. Taste is cocoa, wheat, caramel, light esters. Pretty good. fredthecat (192), Canada

Had on tap at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary AB which is my bar of choice. Pours a deep brown verging on black colour which a huge off white head that remains large. An aroma of roasted malts, almonds and other nuts, caramel, and a hint of fruit. A taste of heat and roast. Peculiar and interesting mouthfeel- the beer is uncarbonated and medium to full bodied. A great dark hefe to compliment their hefeweizzen. Will definately drink again especially on tap at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary AB. Davros (229), Australia
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 12, 2009 Pours murky brown with a large but quickly dissipating head.
Nose shows ripe banana, spicy noble hops, wheat and some darker (toasted) grains.
Flavours consist of toasted grains, some caramel, banana, more noble hops, wheat, some alcohol, followed by a very light bitterness.
Refreshing light body, but carbonation is over the top!
Very easy to drink. rozsoma (60), Győr, Hungary

It is very sensitive to pouring down, so if you don"t pay attention, a huge foam will be in your glass. A beige head that is creamy awhile, then it change to fizzy. It has an intensive aroma with yeast and some citrus and alcohol. Then the alcohol in the flavour is diminishing yet and light bitterness take over. With smooth carbonation it is very drinkable, because the muddy brown body is not so full that would be expected from a german dunkel. Strange, but the "wheatiness" of this beer come forward only 10 minutes after (not years). cfrancis (322), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Mint azt már korábban jeleztem, ez egy fokkal jobban ízlik nekem, mint a világos változat. Talán pontosan amiatt a plusz miatt, amit a barnasörös jellege visz bele, amiatt kis malátás, karamelles édeskés-pörköltes ízvonal miatt. Mögötte, mint bázis, végig ott érződik a búzasörös, enyhén savanykás íz. Emiatt a harmonikus kettősség miatt tartom érdekesebbnek, jobbnak a szűretlen világosnál.
