Tiny bubbles. A bit of a lager aftertaste Not as full flavored as I exptected. jlf278 (255), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2009 500mL Much more mild than I expected, but didn’t know it was only a 5.6% abv. The aroma is roasted malt but subtle. The palate is middle-of-the-road (not too creamy, not too harsh, not too thick, not too thin). Flavor is a little dirty or tinny but with some sweetness from the malt and a little bubblegum and banana, but pretty mild flavor. Overall, goes down pretty easy, but wanted some more flavor out this dark german wheat beer. It doesn’t really have anything to make it stand out, but it’ll be easy to polish off the second one i bought. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

No discernable carbonation. Sweet malt and hop aroma. Medium bodied beer that starts dry with caramel flavor. Finished dry with light malt fade. Although watery and thin, this is a decent beer that went well with a chicken quesadilla. garthicus (1308), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Does not have a distinct aroma. Drink this one slowly to appreciate it. Vertical Bacon Strips (894), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Poured a stupidly huge tan head that should’ve been thicker if not for the dominant large bubbles trapped in the head. Decent retension with moderate spotty lacing. The aroma has come out better now and it’s got some complexity to it: thick malts, caramel, hearty bread and an acceptable level of yeast. I wish it was a touch more aromatic. Flavour is intereting with it’s tasty caramel malts, spice (cloves???) and if i didn’t read it somewhere, I never would’ve nailed this other tasted down as vanilla, but there it is. Dry mouthslapping yeast. More flavour than I’ve noticed in the past, but still mild. Medium bodied, quite smooth and appealing to the mouth with ample carbonation on the swish. Excellent mild bitter finish with a thought of dirt. I forgot to mention a fruitiness throughout, but the malts were more prominent. For the first time, I may actually willingly get more Erdinger strickly for the drinking experience. As I remember, this beer was always quite boring and dissapointing. Now I’ve discovered to let it get quite warm to be able to notice its subtle qualities. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
