Plenty of raisins, and just a hint of dark chocolate. Flavour is fruity, but not like a fruit beer, just fruity. There is also a lot of spicyness which I would assume to be wheat. Also a hint of banana and maybe some cloves, although, I may just be imagining that part because I think it should be there possibly. Mouthfeel is not too bad, there is some body to it, and the carbonation is not too strong. Reasonably light drinking for a dark beer too. Not bad, unixweb (237), Sherman, Texas, USA

The color is that of cola, nice and dark. Compared to other Erdinger brews, this is spicy and malty, especially on the front and middle. The end, however, is a little flat. It becomes just another beer, and yes like someone said more like barley than wheat. I liked all of this one except the finish. The slightly sour, ’typical beer’ taste prevailed at the end and lowered the score a bit. Fifteen minutes after finishing my last sip, I still have a sour taste on my tongue. Very balanced, with a good noble hop crispness that goes well with the wheat bite. A little sour during the drink, nice medium body, head disappears quickly. I wish the yeast gave it more character. This beer has a nice dark color and hints of coffee and caramel in the smell. The taste is VERY smooth and although the finish is a little weak, it is certainly easy-drinking. A really nice beer. The problem is that this beer tastes like all the other Erdingers and therefore is anything but unique. I don’t know how the Erdinger folks do it, but everyone of their beers tastes the same.
