Aroma more pleasant than just yeast. More of an exciting beverage than just the standard German Wheat. NectarFarm (128), Calgary, Canada

Bit of different flavours, including nuts but altogether on the thin mouthfeel side. Roast and also a tad burnt wheat. Malty more than anything. truegen (165), Puyallup, Washington, USA

Enticing aromas of bread, clove, and maple/caramel. Not overly sweet or hoppy, this is a perfect example of the style, and I love this style. No, it’s not done often enough in my opinion. If it’s going to be ’hefe’, make mine a dunkel. Nekronos (2265), Xalapa, Mexico

BUt could be better. romeogolf (6), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 27, 2008 Bottle from Brewery Creek poured into a Schneider Flaschengarung. Clear mahogany brown with good carbonation and a two-finger, cappuccino head. Moderate clove and banana nose with vanilla and bready malt. Low banana and clove flavor with moderate vanilla, caramel, and some breadiness; medium malty richness; low hop bitterness; slightly sweet palate with low tart citrus and relatively dry finish. A good example of a classic Dunkelweizen. dingusrev (3), Belfast, Northern Ireland does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Another beer that can be included in the ’serious session’ list. Breaks up the lager and placed right can really prolong your drinking over a night.
