Clear mahogany brown with good carbonation and a two-finger, cappuccino head. Moderate clove and banana nose with vanilla and bready malt. Low banana and clove flavor with moderate vanilla, caramel, and some breadiness; medium malty richness; low hop bitterness; slightly sweet palate with low tart citrus and relatively dry finish. A good example of a classic Dunkelweizen. dingusrev (3), Belfast, Northern Ireland does not count | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 2, 2008 Another beer that can be included in the ’serious session’ list. Breaks up the lager and placed right can really prolong your drinking over a night. ptorrento (4), Sacramento, California, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Smooth, rich, not much bite. Caramel and chocolate but somehow not real sweet. Excellent with food as it doesn’t overwhelm. Really nice finish. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA

A little strong and acidic but great taste. You can feel the alcohol and the carbonation is great. armando629 (986), Budapest, Hungary

At the second rate: Now i had a moaderated sample with a moderated design(the label is not a black one, it is a friendly brown one) and i must update my rate... The taste is moderated too, the dunkel character is easier than before. Better, really good one. Complex and fine body, smooth mouthfeel. Fine roasted malt, banana and spicy taste, clove and vanilla, some cinnamon.Yumm, really fine!!! Fratto (728), Arlington, Texas, USA

The aroma is of malt and some fruitiness, maybe apple. the flavor is also malty with some burnt notes and roast barley hints like coffee and chocolate. A very dark wheat beer!
