Mostly lasting longevity.Cloudy, thick, dark brown body. Aroma: moderate burnt malt, mild coffee, banana and bubble gum. Initial flavor: moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Final flavor: light sweetness, bitterness and acidic. Average duration. Palate: light-medium body, texture amid watery and oily, lively carbonation and metallic finish. No traces of wheat in the mouth, tasting much more like a Schwarzbier, with less pronounced sweetness. Not so much appealing a taste.8s

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 25, 2009 I really didn’t enjoy this beer all that much.
The pour was a light dark color with an off white foam head.
The flavors are subtle and bleak,
so it’s not really worth it. wheresthepath (536), Buckinghamshire, England

Chocolate at first, followed by liquorice with some spice behind (cloves?). A faint sour bitterness in the finish. It’s OK, but it’s a little watery and the flavours are somewhat muted. zdk (215), New York, USA

I didn’t get many of the banana and clove esters like from momst good hefeweizens. It really tastes like a less sweetened coke. Dry and bubbly. jlf278 (254), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 10, 2009 500mL Much more mild than I expected, but didn’t know it was only a 5.6% abv. The aroma is roasted malt but subtle. The palate is middle-of-the-road (not too creamy, not too harsh, not too thick, not too thin). Flavor is a little dirty or tinny but with some sweetness from the malt and a little bubblegum and banana, but pretty mild flavor. Overall, goes down pretty easy, but wanted some more flavor out this dark german wheat beer. It doesn’t really have anything to make it stand out, but it’ll be easy to polish off the second one i bought. ChrisThomson (394), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Bottle. Very dark, almost black. Aroma of chocolate, caramel; big and buiscuity but will little weizen character. Almost no banana. Flavor also is big on caramel and chocolate, lots of dark malt character but tastes little like a wheat beer. Decent enough, more really like a regular Munich dunkel. drowland (1395), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2009 Pours cloudy reddish brown. The aroma is cream, roasty dark malts, and a small amount of typical hefe mixed with a dash of metal. The aroma reminds me a bit of a schwarzbier. The flavor is sweet malt, a bit of metal, and a little hefe but not much. Nisse666 (386), Göteborg, Sweden
