I love German brews. Upon pouring this brew I noticed a highly carbonated and very lively brew with an excellent light brown head that contained very fine creamy bubbles and lasted a very long time. Its aroma was very pleasant and filled with malt. It has a very malty taste that goes down superbly smooth with a hint of aftertaste. It has notes of mellow caramel and deep dark malt. Some carbonation was noticeable on the tip of my tongue. Its taste was excellent and very much to my liking. Exactly what I expect of a great German beer and very SMOOTH!

Oct 10, 2008 (Bottle). Hazy dark brown with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, malt, and some hints of grains and cherry. Malty flavour with some yeast, and also sweet. Medium body and well balanced. Very refreshing.

Oct 6, 2008 On draft, served in a shaker glass. Murky dark brown body topped by a lasting creamy off-white head. Quite an attractive Dunkel in my book. Soft caramel and cocoa smell. Taste is cocoa, wheat, caramel, light esters. Pretty good.

Oct 3, 2008 Strong smell of malt. Coke colour with a large off white head.wheat and malt flavour and it was fizzy in the mouth, pleasant but nothing special.

Oct 2, 2008 Dark brown with light brown long lasting head. Sweet malty aroma. Rounded taste with malt and a little sweetness. A quite good dunkel.
