On tap at Stubbie and Steins in Gainesville, FL. This is disgusting. Pours a deep amber with a thin, creamy, tan head. Weak retention and no lacing. Olive juice nose and taste. A bit of rotten vegetables. Beets. Metals. Just gross.

decent like a nice candy, the flavor is sweet but not overpowering, has a nice mellow taste that is very drinkable.

The aroma is very toasted with chocolate, toffee, and earth. The appearance is brown with an average head. The taste is like the aroma and it has a bitter sweet finish. The palate is thin but Ok for the style. Overall this is pretty good.

Smells a bit like a Cow Tail or Bulls Eye - one of those caramel candies filled with vanilla creme. Flavor is caramel malt with a medium body. Surprisingly good from a brewer I otherwise don’t care for.

Reddish brown black with a beautiful tan head and lacing. Aroma is muted, but contains sulfur and light roasty notes. Taste is one-dimensionally roasty with some breadiness and residual sweetness. Worty aftertaste, with tootsie-roll exhalations. $2/12oz

Bottle… Pours clear and very dark. When held up to bright light, I see ruby. Small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The nose is a swirl of NYC street-vendor candied cashews, vanilla, chocolate, espresso and mild campfire smoke. Medium to full-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The sweet, malty flavor runs parallel to the aroma – toasted nuttiness alongside mocha and a splash of vintage port that lingers well into the finish. A careful, conservative hop schedule and black malt bitterness prevent the sweetness from running absolutely rampant. Underrated.

Bottle, pours a dark brune body with a tan head. Malty nutty tones, some light caramel and toffee notes, a fully body with a decent etoh warming and some lighter fruit esters. Hint of smoke malt and an earth y toned finish. Decent.
