The nose is mostly buttery, a little butterscotch, very subtle hint of peat smoke behind it all. The flavor is a little sweet. Again more buttery to me than anything. I’m trying to think of a good smoky scotch while I drink it, but I’m not really getting it. Pretty disappointing. I was looking forward to this one, but it isn’t working for me. redlight (1486), Winter Park, Florida, USA

Light malt aroma, sweet with caramel, brown sugar, toasted grain and a hint of peat. Light hops. Medium dark amber clear with thin white head. Medium watery body with heavy carbonation. Starts a bit dry with some peat, caramel, nutty character and light bitterness. Decent peat-smoke taste towards the finish. Light smoky after with a bit of sweetness. There is just a bit of BandAid phenolic in there, too, from the peat.
