Seems that me and Patrik are always rating Christmas beers on summer and Easter beers on Autumn ... This one had ruby red color, small beige head. Grassy-grainy caramelly aroma. Caramelly, alcoholic, harsh, grassy, cheap-flavored Easter beer. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Aug 24, 2008 Bottled (thanks omhper!). Deep rubbyish amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, sweet fruits and mild notes of dark fruits. Flavour is grass, caramel and some dark frutis. Some bready malts too. Svesse (1811), Hässelby, Sweden Jul 31, 2008 (Bottle) Dark reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with chocolate, dark berries, toffee, dark bread and sweet malt. Malty taste with dark chocolate, toffee and dark bread. Hints of spicy hops in a rather short finish. Sweetish. Well balanced, not bad, but a tad boring. Papsoe (10359), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 15, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Clear orangey brown with a dense, beige head leaving some lacework. Roasted malt aroma. Medium body with roasted malts and burned caramel. lLghtly bitter burned finish. Decent. 040408 rickgordon (3073), Göteborg, Sweden May 5, 2008 Bottled.
Dark brown colour, with fluffy pale brown head. Aroma is not much, bit fruity. Flvaourwise, its pretty much the same as with the Julöl, i.e. orgies of prune. The mouthfeel is a bit weird, its thinish, yet bit syrupy. A clear bitterness is also detected, which feels a bit malplace here.
