Dark- Small beige head- Nice aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some chocolate and caramel and some more roasted malt. Not the most complex beer in the world butreally enjoyable and believe me I enjoy this one as often as I can. Having a good beer and supporting a noble cause all at once. Comment faire d’une pierre deux coups!

C’est riche mais peu pesante. Superbe goùt de malt grié, elle est une délisse à boire.

Bottled. Large dark beige head. Excellent lacing. Ruby dark hue. Roasted aroma with chocolate, dough, cassis, a lot of licorice and some spices. Tastes cold coffee, yet pleasant. Leaves a bilberry mouthfeel. Dry, medium body.

660ml bottle. Big foamy brown head. Very dark brown and red color. Roasted malt, coffee and maybe some chocolate and the flavor. Smooth beer. I like hard to choose between Rescousse and Escousse, I like em both.

660ml bottle. Very dark ruby color. Nice foamy full lasting brown head and nice lacing. Aroma of fruits, roasted malt hops and molasses. Some smoke. Smooth flavourful body with caramel and roasted malts. Medium mouth feel. Very slight bitterness on the finish. Goes very well with a local dish called “tourtière”.

Thanks to Boutip for this one. I guessed this was a Schwarzbier before I read about it. I guess my beer tasting skills are increasing. Clear walnut color with light head. Malty aroma, licorice root, heavy and woody. I like it. The flavor is lightly malty with carob and light wood. Very “lager forward”” if that makes any sense. Medium slick and carbonated body. Very enjoyable. Wanted to drink it all night actually.

Bottle. Pours ruby black with a large frothy diminishing tan head -- it looks great! Aroma of roasted malt, hops and coffee. Flavour follows aroma along with a touch of chocolate. Body is a little thin. I really like this and I want more, time for a trip to Quebec!

Bottled. Aroma starts with chocolat and black currant but stays mainly licorice. Very dark ruby color, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, light bitter, light roasted, mainly licorice in the flavor as well. Bit smooth mouthfeel at start soons gets thin. Aroma makes you expect more complexity in the flavor but it’s not there.
